Sexual & Gender Based Violence Awareness Workshop
​
This workshop will provide an in-depth understanding of GBV in your community of interest. It will also provide guidance on how to offer the appropriate support to survivors of GBV using the local resources and procedures currently available. This training is aimed at building the capacity and commitment of participants to undertake programs targeted at eradicating GBV and to develop a new movement for gender equality. The workshop offers a detailed examination of the concepts of gender, GBV, sexuality, and rights. It further seeks to explore the impact of GBV on various sectors of development e.g. education, health, agricultural, and economic development. Finally, we can work with you to provide a comprehensive package of core interventions to address key factors that make girls and young women particularly vulnerable to HIV. These include structural factors, such as gender-based violence, exclusion from economic opportunities, and a lack of access to secondary school.

Sexual & Gender Based Violence Prevention and Response Programming

We strongly believe in the use of evidence-based violence prevention interventions to empower women,children,and men to break free from vicious cycles of violence and to avoid violence before it occurs. We also believe that engaging men is an essential tool that is crucial to stopping this violence before it occurs. Engaging men means involving men in conversations about and taking action against aspects of dominant traditional masculine culture, which are societal factors contributing to sexual violence.
We will work with you to develop effective and innovative strategies for the primary prevention of domestic violence, sexual violence, and other forms of harassment and abuse.
